A temporary crane is erected on Spruce Street on July 28, 2001. This temporary crane (in white) begins the dismantling of The Kimmel Center's tower crane by removing the boom, or the swing arm as shown here.

After removing the tower crane's cab, the street crane lifts out the massive engine before beginning to dismantle the more than 200 feet of tower below.
