COMEDY SUPERSTAR BRIAN REGAN PERFORMS

ONE-NIGHT-ONLY AT THE MERRIAM THEATER

DURING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
MAY 7, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, April 27 2016) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in association with Live Nation, presents a night of comedic excellence when Brian Regan stops at the Merriam Theater for two shows on May 7 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., as part of his 38-city North American Tour. Regan made a scene-stealing cameo in Chris Rock’s film Top Five, and he was seen in Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, but stand-up comedy is Regan’s focus, as he visits close to 100 cities each year, selling out some of the most beautiful venues on the continent.

“Brian is a master of his craft and his hilarious and relatable humor draws a following that spans generations,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “His comedy is universally appreciated – a perfect balance between sophisticated wit and physicality that will have the audience roaring with laughter.”

Regan will make history on September 26 with Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall, the first live broadcast of a stand-up special in Comedy Central’s history. Last spring, Brian made his 28th and final stand-up performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, the most of any comic since the show moved to CBS in 1993. Today, comedy icons still praise him for his hilarious stand-up and unforgettable performance. Jerry Seinfeld states “He is one of my favorite, favorite stand-up comedians,” and Chris Rock proclaims “No comedian in the world says ‘Yeah, I want to follow Brian Regan.’”
