ACTOR, COMEDIAN, WRITER, AND WOODWORKER NICK OFFERMAN RETURNS TO THE KIMMEL CENTER IN NICK OFFERMAN: FULL BUSH  NOVEMBER 4, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, September 25, 2017) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in association with Live Nation, welcomes back the hilarious Nick Offerman to the Kimmel Center’s Merriam Theater on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. for his new solo comedy show Full Bush.  Offerman, best known for his role as Ron Swanson on NBC’s hit comedy series Parks and Recreation, appeared at the Merriam Theater in 2016 with wife Megan Mullally in their show Summer of 69: No Apostrophe.

“We are excited to welcome the return of funny man Nick Offerman to the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.  “With each season, our comedy series grows. Nick’s irreverent perspective pushes comedy to the extreme and is a welcomed indulgence for grown-up guests.”

Nick Offerman is a jack-of-all-trades, star of hit television series and films, a New York Times bestseller, and a passionate woodworker.  Offerman starred in recent films including My Life As A Zucchini, The Founder, Sing, Ice Age: Collision Course, The Little Hours, and The Hero, among many others.  In 2013, Offerman released his first book, Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man’s Fundamentals for Delicious Living, followed by his second book in 2015, Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America’s Gutsiest Troublemakers, and his most recent book Good Clean Fun about his very own Offerman Woodshop.  All three are New York Times bestsellers.  He got his start in the Chicago theater community, where he was a founding member of the Defiant Theatre.  In his spare time, he can be found at his woodshop in Los Angeles building hand-crafted items ranging from fine furniture to canoes to ukuleles.

Other featured upcoming performances at the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus include: Eddie Izzard: Believe Me Tour (October 3, 2017, Merriam Theater), Kevin James (October 7, 2017, Merriam Theater), An Evening with David Sedaris (October 16, 2017, Academy of Music), Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science Tour (November 5, 2017, Merriam Theater), Mike Birbiglia’s The New One(November 17 & 18, 2017, Merriam Theater), and John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous (December 1 & 2, 2017, Academy of Music).
