COMES TO THE MERRIAM THEATER
SEPTEMBER 22 & 23, 2017
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, August 31, 2017) –– Your favorite pajama-wearing heroes will be performing live in a theater near you!
The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in partnership with Entertainment One (eOne) and Round Room Presents are proud to announce PJ Masks Live! Time to Be a Hero! The brand-new, fully immersive musical production, starring the heroic trio from the beloved series PJ Masks, will take to the stage at the Merriam Theater from September 22-23, 2017.
“We are thrilled to welcome our young friends and the PJ Masks heroes to the Merriam Theater this September,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “The PJ Masks show has quickly become a staple in childhood entertainment, beautifully translating to the stage in this action-packed adventure that will enchant and excite audiences of all ages!”
The live show is based on eOne’s top-rated animated TV series which airs daily on Disney Junior. Catboy, Owlette, Gekko, and the Baddies will delight fans of all ages with live performances featuring world-class production, familiar and original music, acrobatics, and immersive interactivity.
PJ Masks, the hit series, follows the thrilling nighttime adventures of three young friends who transform into their dynamic alter egos, Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko, when they put on their pajamas at night and activate their animal amulets. Together, they embark on action-packed capers, solving mysteries and learning valuable lessons along the way.
Other featured upcoming performances at the Kimmel Center Campus include: PNC Grow Up Great (September 9, 2017; October 21, 2017; and November 11, 2017, Commonwealth Plaza), Philadelphia School of Circus Arts Youth Troupe (October 21, 2017, Commonwealth Plaza), CraftNOW Create (November 11, 2017, Commonwealth Plaza), Brain Candy Live! (November 19, 2017, Academy of Music), and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: King for a Day! (January 5-6, 2018, Merriam Theater).
