BROADWAY FORECAST FOR JUNE IS HOT! It may be cold outside, but June is looking to be a hot one for the upcoming BROADWAY PHILADELPHIA season.

THE FAB FOUR are still as popular as ever in Philly. Celebrating 50 Years of the Beatles in the US, RAIN - A Tribute To The Beatles returns to the Academy of Music June 11 - 15. Don’t miss the upcoming CBS-TV special airing Sunday, Feb. 9, marking the Beatles first American television appearance on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show.’

“50 Years: The Beatles,”  a live, interactive media event at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York will feature Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reuniting for the special.

DID YOU KNOW? Picture it, 50 years ago, February 1964…

February 1 - The Beatles vault to the #1 spot on the U.S. singles charts for the first time with “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” starting the British Invasion in America

February 7 - The Beatles arrive from England at New York City’s JFK International Airport, receiving a tumultuous reception from a throng of screaming fans, marking the first occurrence of “Beatlemania” in the United States.

February 9 - The Beatles appear on 'The Ed Sullivan Show,’ marking their first live performance on American television. Seen by an estimated 73 million viewers, the appearance becomes the catalyst for the mid-1960’s “British Invasion” of American popular music.
