Visual Art Students Live Sketch The Dancers

Posted by:  Kimmel Center on November 23, 2016

Earlier this month, visual art students from Philadelphia High School for Girls sat in on a Pennsylvania Ballet II rehearsal to live-sketch the dancers

The behind-the-scenes look was inspired by the art and ballet portrayed in the Tony Award-winning show An American in Paris, which kicked off our Broadway Philadelphia season last night and runs through Sunday, November 27th.

The finished sketches are now on display at our Academy of Music! We invite and encourage patrons attending An American in Paris to check out the beautiful work of these talented students.
