Overview

Philadelphia-based jazz vocalist, Laurin Talese, has performed on myriad stages around the globe with a host of internationally celebrated recording artists including Alicia Keys, Robert Glasper, Ed Sheeran, Sullivan Fortner, and Christian McBride, among others.

In 2016, Laurin Talese released her debut album, Gorgeous Chaos to wide acclaim. The recording was recognized as one of the top 10 best albums of 2016 by the Chicago Tribune and was highly ranked on 3 Billboard Jazz charts. The recording features modern day jazz elite such as Robert Glasper, Christian McBride, and longtime collaborator Eric Wortham II (Adele) among others. Laurin has appeared both nationally and internationally in a host of renowned venues including the Newport Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in 2018 when Laurin won the seventh annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.

Laurin will be performing music from her upcoming release: Museum Of Living Stories commissioned by Chamber Music America.
