Our January concert is back with its joyful celebration of music by Gershwin “and more”, featuring internationally renowned British piano virtuoso Peter Donohoe and vocal soloists Keith Miller and Andrea Lauren Brown as Porgy and Bess. Complementing this exhilarating program are works by contemporary American composers Hans Zimmer (first time in our programming) and John Williams, in rousing themes from blockbuster movies, and the delightful overture to Scott Joplin’s only opera, Treemonisha.
