Over the years Putty Dance Project has evolved from producing socially conscious multi-dimensional shows, to concentrating on live jazz music and dance. The masterful married duo, Lauren Putty White and Brent White, blend their expertise in their respective fields, to continue creating meaningful narratives through the lens of Free Jazz music and dance improvisation. Putty Dance is now presented in two forms, with dance as the primary focus and with music as the centerpiece adding dance as a visual component.

J. Michael Harrison’s first radio show, WPEB’s “Is That Jazz” launched in June of 1993. In 1994 he began volunteering with WRTI as a production assistant. In 1996, J. Michael debuted his own program, The Bridge, which continues to air Friday evenings on WRTI.

The Bridge was selected as Philadelphia Magazine’s "Best Radio Program” in 2002, and in 2007, the Philadelphia City Paper called it the “Best On-Air Reminder That Jazz Didn’t Die in 1965.”

The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and the Performing Arts made him a Stakeholder in 2016 and recently invited him to participate on their Advisory Board. J. Michael also recently joined the Rosenbach Museum’s Programing Committee. He was presented the Above & Beyond award for Outstanding Contributions to Arts & Culture by the People’s Emergency Center in 2017, that same year the Jazz Journalist Association named him a "Jazz Hero."

Additionally, Mike has curated and produced much of WRTI's jazz video content for the NPR Live Sessions platform since 2017.

“Music is truly my sanctuary, a reason to live, and a bright moment”—J. Michael Harrison

Gabe Tiberino explains he had no choice but to become an artist. "From the time I was born I lived in an environment erupting with a multitude of artists and creativity." After attending the High School for Creative and Performing Arts, he became a student at the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. There, in May of 2005, he received his certificate and won the award for the Best Figurative Painter in the Student Exhibition. In 2008 PAFA bought his painting, "Tioga Street" for their permanent collection. Since 1998, he has been a part of the Mural Arts Program where everyone in the city and visitors can see and experience his inspiration on a grand scale. "It is important that my art resonate immediately with people, in their hearts and in their minds. For this reason, I will continue to paint for the rest of my life." Moe Brooker, one of Philadelphia's most recognized artists both nationally and internationally, says of Gabe. "His talent as an artist is far more mature than his years. He is young, yet he handles paint like a much older painter. His insight, visually, is beyond his years. I think you are going to hear a great deal from him in years to come."
