Schoenberg Transfigured Night
Mozart Selections from Don Giovanni
Wagner Siegfried Idyll

Nathalie Stutzmann leads the Orchestra and an incredible cast of opera stars as they perform selections from Mozart’s iconic opera Don Giovani, the story of the legendary, fictional libertine Don Juan and his exploits in Spain. Arguably Wagner’s most beloved orchestral work, the beautiful Siegfried Idyll was secretly prepared as a birthday gift for his second wife, Cosima, and first performed on Christmas morning in 1870. The program also includes Arnold Schoenberg’s romantic Transfigured Night, a melodic piece that tells the tale of a couple walking at night through in the woods.

Please note: This program was previously titled Mozart's Requiem.
