Flexible Ticket Policy

We understand the many "what ifs" you may be weighing in buying tickets for future events. We know that comfort level around returning to the theater will be different for everyone. While we can't control the uncertainties created by the pandemic; we can assure you, we will always put the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff first. We are committing to a healthy and clean environment with proof of vaccination and masking requirements, increased disinfection, and enhanced ventilation. Because we want you to return when you are ready, we will stand behind any tickets you purchase now for our future events with our "Flexible Ticket Policy".

If you feel COVID-19 conditions make it unsafe to attend a show between now and December 31, 2022*, you have multiple options:

  • Exchange for another show - later in the season. (Restrictions may apply.)
  • Exchange for a Kimmel Cultural Campus Gift Certificate, which never expires and can be used for a later event.
  • Donate the value to the Kimmel Cultural Campus as a tax-deductible way to support our free arts education and community engagement initiatives.

You must contact us at least 4 hours prior to your scheduled performance to exercise one of the above options.

Our Flexible Ticket Policy applies to events presented by Kimmel Cultural Campus. It is available to the original person who purchased directly from Ticket Philadelphia. Tickets purchased from resellers are not covered.

*For tickets purchased now through June 30, 2022; Exchanges and credits available beginning 30 days before each ticketed performance.

Review our Ticket Policy.

Based on guidance from health authorities and government agencies, we are implementing new safety measures.

Healthy Ventilation Initiative

We have already completed numerous COVID-19 countermeasures across our Campus, including significant investments to our HVAC systems to meet CDC recommendations, maximizing fresh air intake per hour, and using recommended Merv-13 air filters to optimize air quality.

Increased Cleaning & Sanitation Procedures

We’re increasing frequency and thoroughness of disinfection of high-touch areas with CDC-recommended products; and we’ve equipped each of our venues with numerous hand sanitizer dispensers.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus is a GBAC STAR-accredited facility

As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program verifies that the Kimmel Cultural Campus implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.

We continue with our scenario planning in the event that restrictions change again, and we will continue to coordinate and share information with our producing partners and performing arts centers around the country on health & safety measures in our industry.

Public Health Agencies

As the health and safety of our community is our highest priority, we commit to meet or exceed the requirements from the experts at leading public health agencies including:

Campus Locations

Our Safe and Clean Commitment covers all public areas including entry areas, lobbies, event spaces, restrooms, seating areas, ticket center, stage & backstage, Volver, food and beverage preparation and sales areas, President’s Club and the administrative offices on Kimmel Cultural Campus. The Kimmel Cultural Campus includes Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater.

Select Broadway Series presentations will be presented at the Forrest Theatre, which is owned and operated by The Shubert Organization. The Shubert Organization is committed to providing healthy and safe facilities for all patrons, performers, and staff. Based on CDC and state guidelines at the time of performance, protocols may include mask enforcement, increased cleaning and ventilation/filtration enhancements. More detailed information will be available closer to the Forrest Theatre reopening in Spring 2022.

Stay Informed

These protocols are based on the most current information available on sanitization and cleanliness for live entertainment venues as well as other hospitality / tourism businesses. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor guidelines from the leading public health agencies for the latest innovations, so we are continually updating these procedures.
