FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, May 7, 2019) – The Kimmel Center Cultural Campus is excited to welcome Iyanla Vanzant for her Acts of Faith Remix Tour at the Merriam Theater on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. This show is presented in association with Mills Entertainment. Iyanla Vanzant, New York Times Best-Selling Author and Emmy®-winning television personality, is among the most influential, socially engaged, and acclaimed spiritual life coaches of our time.
“The Acts of Faith show will combine both serious conversations and laughter to tackle tough topics, in the same manner as Iyanla Vanzant’s bestselling book,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “Her personal and professional journeys equip her to deliver an impactful – and unique - experience for Philadelphia audiences, who get to join Iyanla in celebrating her 25th anniversary.”
This interactive and inspirational show will have live music and take the audience through the teachings and reflections covered in Iyanla Vanzant’s debut book Acts of Faith. The new tour is in celebration of the 25th Anniversary re-release. The book has 365 daily prayers and reflections and has sold over 6,000,000 copies worldwide.
Iyanla Vanzant is a New Thought Spiritual teacher, author, life coach, and television personality. She is known primarily for her books and her eponymous talk show, the award-winning break out hit Iyanla: Fix My Life on The OWN Network. She serves as both host and executive producer of the show, which is the #1 Unscripted Drama on OWN.
Iyanla Vanzant’s body of work spans over three decades with 18 published books, including 6 New York Times best-sellers, with sales exceeding 8 million copies. She has received honors from numerous notable organizations including the NAACP Image Awards, Ebony magazine, and Daytime Emmy® Awards.
