Back on Campus: A College Student’s Guide to the Arts in Philly

It’s that time of year again – students flood back onto the many colleges and universities located around Philly as they return to their studies. But just because you’re working hard doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun! Philadelphia is an incredible city for the arts with concerts, theaters, murals, and more everywhere you turn. With so many options, we understand that it can be overwhelming…so leave it to us to provide you a few suggestions for you to find an amazing performance (or two)! Come with a few friends, a class, a club, or even yourself – we have something for everyone!

Do you have a love for classical music? Look no further than a performance by the Grammy Award-winning Philadelphia Orchestra and their 2023-24 season. With an impressive line-up of star-studded programs including world-renowned artists like cellist Yo-Yo Ma on Opening Night, pianist Daniil Trifonov playing Brahms, and Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald as well as family events like Music of Superheroes and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Philadelphia Orchestra led by Music Director and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin bring the music of the world to Philly’s doorstep.

We also offer so many FREE events at our three venues (Kimmel Center fro Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Miller Theater).
