Yesterday, in partnership with Philadelphia Reads, over 70 students from pre-k through sixth grade, joined us for dance, mask-making, and storytelling! The classes were taught by Kimmel Center teaching artists and staff.
This program is designed to connect literacy through the arts and provide fun-filled activities and learning for children.
Summer Reads, a program by Philadelphia Reads, is a 6-week literacy program where students work with teachers to sharpen their literacy skills, using the elements of reading, enrichment, the arts and development, in preparation for the upcoming school year.
