TD Bank - Season Sponsor of the 2013/2014 Kimmel Center Presents Programming

Posted by:  Kimmel Center on November 22, 2013

Thank You TD Bank, Season Sponsor of the 2013/2014 Kimmel Center Presents Programming.

The Kimmel Center is pleased to continue our partnership with TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, during our 2013/2014 Kimmel Center Presents Season.  TD Bank first came on board as Lead Sponsor of the Philadelphia Festival of the Arts (PIFA) 2013.  Additionally, they were Season Sponsor of the 2012/2013 Kimmel Center Presents Season.

TD Bank’s generous support helps the Kimmel Center present fantastic and diverse programming including Bobby McFerrin, the Newport Jazz Festival and Buika.  During PIFA 2013, TD Bank was the Title Sponsor of the highly popular TD Bank Plaza Stage.  The Plaza Stage featured daily, free performances throughout the festival.  Patrons from the entire Philadelphia region truly enjoyed visiting the Plaza Stage to experience the Lunchtime Tunes performances and the weekly dance parties.

Many thanks TD Bank!  Your generosity means the world to us!

Thanks to our generous Arts Education programming supporters!

Curated by our Education Department, the Kimmel Center’s 2013/2014 Arts Education programs are designed to stimulate students’ artistic expression and thought through multidisciplinary experiences.

The Kimmel Center is pleased to offer Philadelphia region corporations and foundations the opportunity to support several of our programs through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).  These programs include the Creative Music Program for Jazz, Special Student Matinees, Curriculum Classes, Kimmel Center Jazz Camp of Philadelphia, and Master Classes.

This season we are so thrilled to have ACE Group and Universal Health Services as generous supporters of our EITC programming, and through their contributions, the Kimmel Center provides meaningful arts education experiences to thousands of students each year.

Our Student Matinee concerts are also supported in part by the Deluxe Corporation Foundation.  Their generosity helps create a unique opportunity for students and teachers to experience a performance and participate in a talk-back with artists about their work.  Additionally, transportation for these programs is provided by The Lindback Foundation.

The Kimmel Center’s mission is to transform lives daily through the arts. Our Jazz Education programs do just that!  During the 2013/2014 season, Philadelphia area students will have the opportunity to meet the artists we selected for our exciting new Jazz Residency program. Students will have access to the artists as well as the chance to play alongside them.  These exceedingly innovative programs are supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts Art Works.

Kimmel Center Education Department’s new Show Stoppers after-school musical theater program is gearing up for its inaugural winter revue in Perelman Theater on December 13 at 7 p.m and it is sure to be an absolutely delightful performance!  Thank you to Dave and Patricia Holveck for their generous support of this exciting program.

Many thanks to all our Education supporters for supporting the next generation of artists and arts lovers!

Thank You Pennsylvania Council on the Arts

The Kimmel Center received state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a stage agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.  We are absolutely honored to have them as a generous supporter of our organization!

The mission of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency, is to foster the excellence, diversity and vitality of the arts in Pennsylvania and to broaden the availability and appreciation of those arts throughout the state.

Thank you PCA! With your support we can continue to transform lives daily through the arts.
