ENSEMBLE ARTS PHILLY AND LIVE NATION PRESENT BOUNDARY-PUSHING STAND-UP COMEDIAN, ANTHONY JESELNIK, IN BONES AND ALLAPRIL 27, 2024

“For Jeselnik, at least, being deplorable is just an act. A very funny one at that. He may not be the comedy hero we deserve, but he’s the one we need right now.” – Decider

“Jeselnik’s an engaging guide to the highs and lows of life in ‘offensive’ comedy and his brand of twinkling villainy slips down devilishly easily.” The Guardian

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (March 4, 2024) – Ensemble Arts Philly, the new presenting brand of the Kimmel Cultural Campus and The Philadelphia Orchestra, present, in association with Live Nation, boundary-pushing stand-up comedian, Anthony Jeselnik, with his Bones and All tour. This one-night-only event will take place at the Miller Theater on April 27, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Jeselnik, whose career spans over a decade, has been known to inject humor into taboo subjects, creating a distinctive comic experience that has earned him a dedicated fanbase. With Bones and All, he delivers his signature electric mix of the same twisted and darkly humorous quips.

Jeselnik is widely known for his Netflix specials, podcast, and Comedy Central roasts. He currently hosts the podcast, The Jeselnik and Rosenthal Vanity Project, alongside co-host Gregg Rosenthal for All Things Comedy. His most recent stand-up special, Fire in the Maternity Ward, premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim. Anthony was the creator, host, and producer of his series, Good Talk and The Jeselnik Offensive on Comedy Central.

“Anthony Jeselnik's onstage performances are masterclasses in audacious humor, where he fearlessly navigates the fine line between shock and brilliance,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming & Presentations. “With razor-sharp wit and unapologetic satire, Jeselnik’s stand-up leaves a thought-provoking impact that challenges our social norms and reminds us of the power of pushing boundaries in comedy.”

Jeselnik has appeared on multiple roasts for Comedy Central, including The Roast of Donald Trump and The Roast of Charlie Sheen. He wrote and performed the stand-up specials Thoughts and Prayers for Netflix and Caligula, an hour long special for Comedy Central, which followed his debut comedy album, Shakespeare, for Comedy Central Records. Jeselnik was a writer and the first ever stand-up comic to appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon; he has performed on Conan, The Tonight Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Other featured upcoming performances include RuPaul: The House of Hidden Meanings (March 6, 2024, Perelman Theater); Emmet Cohen Trio (March 14, 2024, Perelman Theater); KevOnStage & That Chick Angel: Here’s The Thing (March 30, 2024, Miller Theater); Terence Blanchard: Fire Shut Up in My Bones (April 7, 2024, Verizon Hall); Franco Escamilla (April 7, 2024, Miller Theater); PHILADANCO! ........Director’s Choice (April 12 – 14, 2024, Perelman Theater); Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies: LIVE!
