KIMMEL CULTURAL CAMPUS PRESENTS BRIAN REGAN, FAN-

FAVORITE STAND-UP COMEDIAN, JANUARY 14, 2023

“The funniest stand-up alive,” – Vanity Fair

“Your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian,” – Entertainment Weekly

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (November 28, 2022) – The Kimmel Cultural Campus, in association with Live Nation, presents comedian Brian Regan at its Miller Theater (formerly the Merriam Theater) on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. Considered one of the best stand-ups in the country by critics, fans, and fellow comedians, Regan is known for his observational, sarcastic, and self-deprecating humor. Having built his 30-plus year career on the strength of his material alone, Regan’s non-stop theater tour continuously fills the most beautiful venues across North America, visiting close to 100 cities each year.

“Laughter really is a uniter, and Brian Regan’s approach to comedy blends observational and physical humor in a way that appeals to a wide range of audiences,” said Frances Egler, Senior Director of Programming and Presentations on the Kimmel Cultural Campus. “His tour joins a lineup of comedians we’re excited to bring to Philadelphia audiences in 2023, including Nimesh Patel, The Second City, Heather McMahan, Matteo Lane, and The Capitol Steps’ new show DC’s Reflecting Fools.”

In 2015, Regan made history with his stand-up special, Brian Regan: Live From Radio City Music Hall, as the first live broadcast of a stand-up special in Comedy Central’s history. His first Netflix special, Brian Regan: Nunchucks And Flamethrowers, premiered to rave reviews on November 21, 2017; his second special, Brian Regan: On The Rocks, debuted on February 23, 2021.

A regular on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Regan is the stand-up comedian guest who the show invites on for two segments: a performance segment and a segment on the couch to chat with Fallon. Previously, Regan was a regular guest on The Late Show with David Letterman, making 28 appearances on the CBS show.

Regan starred in his own Netflix series, Stand Up And Away! With Brian Regan, which premiered on Christmas Eve 2018. He and Jerry Seinfeld executive produced the four-episode original half-hour series that combined sketch comedy and stand-up. Regan made a scene-stealing cameo in Chris Rock’s film, Top Five, and he was a guest on two episodes of Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on Netflix.

Other featured upcoming performances on the Kimmel Cultural Campus include Kiki & Herb: DO YOU HEAR WHAT WE HEAR? (December 5, 2022, Miller Theater), Rupi Kaur (December 8, 2022, Miller Theater), Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: A Very Postmodern Christmas (December 10, 2022, Miller Theater), A Soulful Christmas (December 13, 2022, Verizon Hall), Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and Special Guest Naseer Shamma (January 22, 2023, Academy of Music), Jerry Blavat and Friends (January 28, 2023, Verizon Hall), Gregory Porter (February 16, 2023, Academy of Music), DRUMLine Live (February 17, 2023, Miller Theater), David Sánchez (February18, 2023, Perelman Theater), Heather McMahan: The Comeback Tour (February 18, 2023, Academy of Music), Wheel of Fortune Live!
