At the very core of our mission, we strive to provide vital arts education and community programs to a broad, diverse audience of all ages. We are committed to serving the community with the same level of excellence off stage to foster a love for the arts in all Philadelphia students and create the next generations of artists and audiences. We are so honored to be officially approved as an Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) by the Department of Community and Economic Development of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (DCED), making contributions to us eligible for the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program!
The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) program is a tax incentive program that encourages businesses, small or large, to contribute donations to Educational Improvement Organizations (such as us). Contributing businesses may be eligible to receive significant tax credits equal to 75% of their contribution amount with a maximum of $750,000 per year. Also, businesses that agree to contribute the same amount in donations for two consecutive years can instead receive tax credits equal to 90% of their contributions!
Contributions made through the EITC can help us to continue making the arts inclusive and accessible for all Philadelphia students. Academic research has shown that children who are exposed to the arts have greater academic success and discipline, are more motivated and goal-oriented, and grow to become more civically engaged adults.
