Welcome back! Guests share their experiences of returning to in-person arts

Posted by:  Kimmel Cultural Campus on October 08, 2021

We get it – it can be a little nerve-racking to return to a large in-person event after this extended 18-month intermission. We are all more cautious than we were before, and with that comes a bit more preparation before making the decision to return to an in-person arts event.

On the Kimmel Cultural Campus, we will always put the health and safety of our guests, artists, and staff first. We have constantly surveyed our audiences over the last 18 months and audiences agree with our decisions to implement and enforce health & safety rules.

We want you to confidently enjoy what we all love – the arts – together, so we talked with people just like you who have made the choice to return safely. Click on the photos below to hear directly from our guests about their experience coming back to an in-person arts events on the Kimmel Cultural Campus.

Need more info to make you feel at ease? Read up on our health and safety policies below. You can also learn more about our Safe & Clean Commitment, visit our FAQ, or reach out to our Patron Services team at 215-893-1999 or patronservices@ticketphiladelphia.org. We are eager to welcome you back safely to the Kimmel Cultural Campus and hope to see you again soon.

  • “Fully Vaccinated” means that a guest’s event is at least 14 days after their final COVID-19 vaccine dose.
  • Valid proof of vaccination includes: vaccination card, as well as photo or digital copy of proof of vaccination.
  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted, with the exception of children under the age of 12.
  • Children under 12 will be required to show a negative test result of a PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event.

Mask Enforcement

All guests are required to wear masks inside the venue at all times (except when consuming food or beverage). Prolonged periods of mask removal are not permitted. Please check our FAQ page for more information.

Flexible Ticket Policy

We understand the many "what ifs" you may be weighing in buying tickets for future events. Because we want you to return when you are ready, we will stand behind any tickets you purchase now for our future events with our "Flexible Ticket Policy".

If you feel COVID-19 conditions make it unsafe to attend a show between now and August 30, 2022*, you have multiple options:

  • Exchange for another show later in the season. (Restrictions may apply.)
  • Exchange for a Kimmel Cultural Campus Gift Certificate, which never expires and can be used for a later event.
  • Donate the value to the Kimmel Cultural Campus as a tax-deductible way to support our FREE arts education and community engagement initiatives.

Our Flexible Ticket Policy applies to events presented by Kimmel Cultural Campus. It is available to the original person who purchased directly from Ticket Philadelphia. Tickets purchased from resellers are not covered.

Healthy Ventilation Initiative

We have already completed numerous COVID-19 countermeasures across our Campus, including significant investments to our HVAC systems to meet CDC recommendations, maximizing fresh air intake per hour, and using recommended Merv-13 air filters to optimize air quality.

Increased Cleaning & Sanitation Procedures

Decorative IconWe're increasing frequency and thoroughness of disinfection of high-touch areas with CDC-recommended products; and we've equipped each of our venues with numerous hand sanitizer dispensers.

We continue with our scenario planning in the event that restrictions change again, and we will continue to coordinate and share information with our producing partners and performing arts centers around the country on health & safety measures in our industry.
